Sayre, PA – The 29th Annual Guthrie Gallop is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at Howard Elmer Park in Sayre, Pa. The event will include a 5K walk, a 5K road race, a 10K road race and a Kids’ Fun Run. Timing will be kept through electronic disposable chips.
Race times are:
• 9 a.m. – 10K road race
• 10:15 a.m. – Fun Run for kids 10 and under
• 10:30 a.m. – 5K road race and 5K walk
Pre-registration is online only and is $20 for a single race and $30 to participate in two races. Pre-Registration ends April 30. On-site same day registrations will be accepted until 15 minutes before race time. Race day registration increases to $25 and $40 respectively. You can register online at www.guthrie.org/gallop.
The 10K race will be following a different route than in years past. An updated map of the course may be found online. The 5K road race and walk will follow the same route that has been used in previous years.
The first 250 entrants will receive a moisture wicking t-shirt. Awards will be presented to the first two finishers in each age group, and to the overall male and female winners for each race. The first 30 children who finish the Fun Run will receive a gift. Proceeds from the event will benefit Guthrie Sports Medicine’s community concussion education.
