Sayre, PA – The 28th Annual Guthrie Gallop is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, at Howard Elmer Park in Sayre, PA. The event will include a 5K walk, a 5K road race, a 10K road race and a Kids’ Fun Run. The Guthrie Gallop is a USA Track & Field-certified event and utilizes disposable electronic chip timing.
Race times are:
• 9 a.m. – 10K road race
• 10:30 a.m. – 5K road race and 5K walk
• 11:30 a.m. – Fun Run for kids 10 and under
Pre-registration is online only and is $20 for the 5K race or 10K race and $30 if you plan to run both the 5K and 10K. Pre-Registration ends April 30. Late on-site same day registrations will be accepted until 15 minutes before race time. On race day the registration increases to $25 and $40 respectively. The first 175 entrants will receive a moisture wicking t-shirt. Proceeds from the event will benefit Guthrie Sports Medicine’s community concussion education. Awards will be presented to the first two finishers in each age group, and to the overall male and female winners for each race . The first 30 children who finish the Fun Run will receive a gift.
