Our Hospitals
Guthrie, one of the country’s original integrated health systems, provides care to patients within a 100,000 square mile, 12-county catchment area of the Twin Tiers of New York and Pennsylvania. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is the flagship tertiary regional referral center for the system, which includes Guthrie Corning Hospital and Guthrie Cortland Medical Center in New York, and Guthrie Towanda Memorial and Troy Community hospitals in Pennsylvania. Our emergency department at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital sees about 82,000 patients per year, of which over 5,000 are trauma activations or critically ill patients. We are a Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation-accredited Level II Regional Trauma center with two helipads.
We have high-volume arthroplasty, sports medicine, trauma, and hand services and an affiliation with Saint Christopher’s Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia for pediatric orthopaedics. Our other ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs include Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Pharmacy, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care, and Cardiology. Our faculty shares the institution’s commitment to clinical excellence and support of education
