Guthrie Drs. Estill and Kuntz will walk and talk with us! All walks will begin at noon on the “Teagle” (east) side of the track in Barton Hall. Walkers are invited to participate in one walk, or the entire series. According to the American Heart Association, walking is one of the best physical activities a person can do. It reduces the risk of heart disease, improves blood pressure and helps control weight.
Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle. What better way to make strides to help your heart and improve your general health to live longer.
While you walk at your own pace, you’ll have the opportunity to have questions answered by local physicians, Matt Estill, MD and Bruce Kuntz, MD.
This program was started in Columbus, OH in 2005 and has now expanded throughout the country. You don’t need any special gear and there are no special rules. Just put on a pair of comfortable shoes and walk alone, with friends, a partner or family or with a group. It’s a personal preference. http://www.walkwithadoc.org/our-locations/guthrie/
