At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
*Apply ICD-10-CM principles to improve clinical documentation to facilitate accurate coding under ICD-10.
*Demonstrate the basic knowledge of ICD-10 to participate specialty specific education.
*Apply ICD-10-PCS principles to accurately document the essential components of procedural coding.
*Eliminate erroneous myths about ICD-10.
*Articulate to colleagues the benefits of ICD-10 and participate in implementing appropriate hospital systems.
*Apply the urgency of ICD-10 implementation for he office setting, which will be necessary before 10/01/2014.
