Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary
The Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary was founded the same year the hospital opened in 1885. The Auxiliary is actively involved in a number of projects in support of the mission of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, including:
- Support for the Sayre House of Hope, Lifeline and Guthrie Hospice
- Tree for Life Project
- Heart pillows for cardiac patients
- Clothing for emergency department patients
- Scholarship program: VolunTEENS and the Deb Nole Scholarship for nursing students

The mission of Guthrie’s Robert Packer Hospital Volunteer Services department is to engage the community in supporting Guthrie’s mission of helping those we serve attain optimal, life-long health and well-being by offering the highest quality care and service with compassion.
Guthrie Volunteer Services department, through its dedicated volunteers, offers an important dimension of patient-centeredness, teamwork and excellence to the patients, visitors and health care personnel at Guthrie.
Our volunteers love to make a difference in our patients’ experience and for the staff they work with. The dedication of volunteers plays an important role in Guthrie’s success and in the lives of patients and their families. Applications will be reviewed and selected prospective volunteers will be contacted to complete the health requirements form and orientation before beginning their volunteer experience.
