Guthrie is growing to better meet the needs of our patients.
We’re working hard to make improvements that will enable patients to remain the focus of all that we do at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. These improvements require construction. The Construction Zone will keep our community updated on our progress, including new traffic patterns or relocated services. Check here before each visit for the latest information, maps and alerts.
Here’s what’s happening:
- Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Emergency Department Construction
With over 37,000 visits annually, Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital’s Emergency Department is expanding. Construction will nearly double the current ED space to 26,000 square feet. Treatment rooms will be 33% larger to accommodate the entire clinical caregiver team. All patient treatment rooms will have enhanced privacy features like sliding doors.
- New Traffic Patterns at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital
New traffic patterns are in place near construction at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital ED. Traffic entering from Wilbur Avenue will flow to the right, around the Foundation Building before exiting to the main drive. Follow signs. Traffic entering from Brock Street will not be effected.
