The Guthrie Sayre Cancer Center support group can provide emotional and social support, as well as education for men and women who have been impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Those who are either actively undergoing treatment or those who have completed treatment are encouraged to participate.
The group provides a place to openly talk about fears, emotions and thoughts that might be uncomfortable discussing with others outside the group. Participants can teach each other about coping, resilience, surviving and triumph, despite adversity, and how to harness the energy necessary to overcome the challenge of cancer.
Starting in April, the group will have ongoing meetings on the third Tuesday of every month.
