About the Area

About the Area

This region offers breathtaking natural beauty and provides a quiet, safe environment for families with beautiful homes and neighborhoods. Guthrie’s central location affords the benefits of dining, shopping, culture and recreation in small cities and communities, with easy access to big cities such as New York and Philadelphia.

Quality of Life

One of the best parts about working at Guthrie is the quality of life our employees and their families enjoy. Our communities are safe, clean and friendly, and our employees know their colleagues and patients as neighbors and friends.

There are many lovely small towns within 15 miles of the campus in Sayre, Pa., with first-rate school systems. Our children do well in the excellent public or private school systems throughout the region.

Several colleges and universities are located within a 30 to 45-minute drive from Sayre: Cornell University, Binghamton University, Elmira College, Ithaca College, Corning Community College and Broome Community College.
