RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES AT GUTHRIE - GENERAL SURGERY RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Clinical research opportunities at Guthrie are without parallel. Within the Department of General Surgery, all the attendings have an active interest in our clinical research and have published in major journals. At the current time we have ongoing projects in outcomes for breast and colorectal cancer. During your stay at Guthrie, you will be encouraged to participate in clinical research programs and present your results at local and national meetings. You will have active support from the Section of Surgical Research and the Guthrie Foundation for Education and Research, which will assist the residents in both the preparation of their manuscripts and also preparing them for any oral presentations. We believe that the opportunities presented here at the Guthrie Clinic/Robert Packer Hospital are outstanding and are an important part of our residency program.
