and interest in Family Medicine. Completion of 2nd year of
medical school.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES: Lectures,
seminars, clinics, group discussions, meetings with faculty, assigned
reading.
ELECTIVE DESCRIPTION: Student
will participate, at the appropriate level for his/her education, in
patient care with friendly, enthusiastic, learner-centered faculty and
residents. Exposure to a full range of patient acuity and pathology.
Students are encouraged to develop problem solving skills during their
rotation.
READING: Assigned
reading is required.
CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE: Participation
in patient care, lectures, seminars, discussions, and assigned reading.
IS PERFORMANCE DISCUSSED WITH STUDENT:
Yes, throughout the rotation. In addition, the student’s preceptor will
be expected to complete an evaluation form and return it to the school
upon completion of the rotation.
