Stipends & Benefits for Family Medicine Residency ProgramAnnual Stipends:

  • PGY-1 $48,301
  • PGY-2 $52,945
  • PGY-3 $55,055

Relocation Allowance:

A relocation allowance of $5,000 is given to each new incoming first-year resident and will be included in the resident's first paycheck.

Educational Allowances:

Funds are provided for expenses related to educational needs, minor equipment, medical society dues, educational conferences and related travel. The allocation of funds must meet program protocols and be approved by the Program Director. Funds must be used during the academic year and can not be accrued. An allowance of $1,000 is available for PGY-1 residents and $2,000 per year for all PGY-2 and above residents.

Housing, Meals, Moving Expenses and Uniforms:

  • Affordable housing is available on and off campus.
  • Meals are furnished at the Robert Packer Hospital cafeteria for residents while on call duty.
  • Lunch is available for lectures and conferences held at noontime.
  • Each resident is supplied with three white lab coats annually.
  • Hospital scrubs are provided and laundered.

Personal Time Off: (PTO)

  • PGY 1 residents receive 15 working days of PTO per academic year.
  • PGY 2 – PGY 3 residents receive 20 working days of PTO per academic year.

Educational Time:

  • Educational leave for all residents may be approved for up to 5 working days per academic year for conference and meeting attendance.

Incidental Time Off: (within RRC and AOA requirements)
