Patient Support

At the Guthrie Cancer Center, our team is here to support you during your treatment. With a full-time social worker, nutritionist and an American Cancer Society representative on-site every day, we will make sure you have all of the resources you need to understand your treatment plan while supporting you every step of the way.

Financial assistance is available to you through multiple resources. Our dedicated social worker will review all the options with you to arrive at your best choice.

Support Groups

Guthrie’s Cancer Center wants to provide you with peace of mind amid cancer and offers you a number of resources to support you as you undergo cancer treatment.

Women Empowered Cancer Support Group
Guthrie Cancer Center, Sayre PA
Third Tuesday of each month - 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Support group to provide emotional and social support, as well as education, for women with any type of cancer.

Support group to provide support and education for anyone with cancer.

Patient Lending Library

Guthrie’s Cancer Center in Sayre, Pennsylvania, offers a patient lending library to support and educate you about your cancer. Made possible by the American Cancer Society and the Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary, the patient lending library is stocked with books, DVDs and a computer with internet access to give you the tools you need to be as educated as possible about your cancer.
