Running Analysis Helps to Improve Form, Increase Speed and Prevent Injury

Guthrie physical therapist Amanda Robertson, DPT, offers Dartfish Movement Analysis to area runners. Dartfish Movement Analysis is a video-based biometric gait analysis software that allows a therapist to accurately measure and assess a runner’s movement, speed and joint angles from several recorded angles. This detailed analysis allows the therapists to develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to a runner’s specific impairment(s) or gait improvement opportunities such as muscle weakness or imbalances that could contribute to a running injury or movement efficiency adjustments to improve stride, speed or running comfort.
