Employee Satisfaction Surveys

Guthrie conducts employee opinion surveys to learn about what’s working and what could be improved. Success rests on the organization’s ability to convert data into discovery, and discovery into practical plans for improvement. The conversion of data into information and then knowledge that will lead to meaningful action takes place during the feedback and action planning phases of the survey process.

Organizational Development Services

Guthrie Healthcare System’s Organizational Department offers support for non-clinical training and development needs throughout the Guthrie Healthcare System. This includes special project coordination, leadership development, consulting services, computer classes, medical terminology, customized training requests and more.

Employee Training Seminars

Guthrie supports training opportunities to ensure that employees are proficient in the work processes they are expected to perform. Such training may be accomplished one-on-one on the job, at departmental or entity in-services, through Organizational Development courses, or at external seminars or training sessions.

Employee Wellness

The Employee Wellness Department offers employees the means to achieve a healthy lifestyle. A wide range of activities and information, including fitness classes and educational programs, is available to help achieve better health. Club Guthrie, the employee fitness center, is located on the first floor of the School of Nursing Building on Guthrie’s Sayre campus. It is open to all Guthrie employees.

In addition, the HealthWorks Wellness & Fitness Center is also available to all Guthrie employees. HealthWorks' is a 45,000-sq. ft. center, located on Liberty Drive in Erwin, New York. It offers one of the most spacious, best-equipped and most professionally staffed fitness facilities in this entire region of New York State and Pennsylvania. We've combined this fitness-center-of-the-future with comprehensive wellness services and programs, plus an array of important clinical services for women -- and men, too!

Guthrie Federal Credit Union

Guthrie Healthcare System employees and Guthrie Clinic employees who work in or are paid from Sayre, PA, are eligible to join the Guthrie Federal Credit Union. Credit unions are owned by their members. This means that monies saved on paying high management salaries can be returned to members through higher dividends and low cost service. Potential members fill out a simple membership card, deposit $5, and pay a one-time $1 membership fee.

Service Awards Recognition

Guthrie’s philosophy is that our employees are our greatest assets. Guthrie acknowledges and honors long-term employees by presenting them with awards for continuous service to the organization.

Tuition Reimbursement

Guthrie encourages employees to further their formal education. The organization offers tuition reimbursement to eligible full-time and part-time employees for college level (undergraduate and graduate) courses.
