Serving customers since 1977, the Clinic Pharmacy strives to give you great service every time. Whether you

 use our telephone refill service or come in person, getting a prescription filled with us is hassle-free. Plus, we accept most insurances, and you can pay with cash, credit or a personal check. RxPress Prescription Service

RxPress, the Clinic Pharmacy's convenient prescription service, is available exclusively to Guthrie patients. We can deliver your RxPress prescription by courier to the Guthrie regional office nearest you, or mail it directly to your home at no extra charge! Our RxPress number – 1-800-GET-MEDS (1-800-438-6337) -- is a toll-free call from anywhere in the U.S. As long as you are or have been a Guthrie patient, a prescription from any physician you see -- including a non-Guthrie physician -- can be filled at the Clinic Pharmacy.

 

Clinic Pharmacy Services

For a quarter of a century, patients have trusted the Clinic Pharmacy to provide them with important information about outpatient prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines. Additional information about pharmacy services is below.

 

• Medication Counseling - Clinic pharmacists are happy to help you understand the medication you've been prescribed.

  • Dosages -- if you are unsure of how often you should take your medication, how much you should take, or how it should be taken (with food, before bedtime, while sitting upright, etc.), Clinic pharmacists can clarify the instructions for you.

  • Side effects -- Clinic pharmacists can explain the side effects that may occur when taking a certain medication. They can offer you tips about ways to avoid certain side effects (take the medication with food, for example), and also alert you to possible serious side effects that you should notify your physician about right away.

  • Drug interactions -- Clinic pharmacists can advise you if the medication you have been prescribed will interact with any other prescription or over-the-counter medications you're currently taking.

   

• Special Drug Stocking - The Guthrie Clinic Pharmacy stocks a wide variety of prescription medications that many pharmacies do not regularly carry, such as specialized drugs required by patients on chemotherapy, etc. For more information about this service, contact the Clinic Pharmacy.

   

   

• Rapid Access to Guthrie Physicians - Since the Clinic Pharmacy is located right within Guthrie Clinic's main office in Sayre, PA, we have easy access to Guthrie physicians, making it possible to obtain refill orders on your behalf, plus other services.

Coming to the Clinic Pharmacy

Guthrie's Clinic Pharmacy is conveniently located in the Guthrie Clinic Atrium lobby on Guthrie's Sayre, PA, campus. It's easy to get a continuing prescription refilled or to drop off a new prescription to be filled after a doctor's appointment in the Clinic. Your physician's office can also call prescriptions in to the Clinic Pharmacy directly. Same-day refills are often available.

The Clinic Pharmacy Towanda is located in the former Medical Arts Pharmacy building, adjacent to Guthrie's Towanda regional office. The pharmacy offers a separate exterior entrance, as well as an interior entrance from Guthrie's Towanda office. The pharmacy shares space with Med Supply Depot.

 

The fully-staffed Clinic Pharmacy in Towanda offers many of the same high-quality, convenient, accurate services patients have come to expect from the pharmacy's primary location on Guthrie's Sayre campus. Patients who choose the Clinic Pharmacy in Towanda may choose to have their prescriptions mailed directly to their homes at no additional charge. A full range of insurances are accepted, and prices on prescription and over-the-counter medications are competitive.

Customers of the former Medical Arts Pharmacy or other area pharmacies can easily transfer their prescriptions to the Clinic Pharmacy in Towanda by calling 1-800-GET MEDS (1-800-438-6337). Patients can also request prescription refills online via Guthrie's website at www.guthrie.org (for prescriptions previously filled by Guthrie's Clinic Pharmacy).
