Dialysis Services at Guthrie
Dialysis services at Guthrie are provided in the
state-of-the-art Paul Gerry Dialysis Center at
Robert Packer Hospital. Dialysis is available to
patients with a wide variety of kidney dysfunctions,
and the Dialysis Center is open six days a week. Approximately 20 specially-trained
dialysis nurses staff the center and provide patient
support services. Guthrie also has a secondary,
9-station dialysis unit in Towanda, which is open
Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The dialysis health care team, including
nephrologists, nurses, social workers, care
coordinators and dietitians, provide each patient
with specialized care. The apheresis program’s
co-directors are a board-certified nephrologist and
a board-certified hematologist/oncologist who
directs the peripheral blood stem cell transplant
