About the Same Day Surgery Center

Guthrie is proud to introduce its Same Day Surgery Center, a new choice for outpatient surgery, and the first multispecialty ambulatory surgical center of its kind in Chemung County. A "mini-hospital" with two operating rooms, and 2 endoscopy suites and private, comfortable patient accommodations, this spacious center is located within a convenient office-based setting.

The center adjoins specialist offices on the second floor of our Big Flats facility, and is connected by elevator to the first floor primary care suites. That means Same Day Surgery Center staff members are able to work with you and your family doctor to coordinate your care with Guthrie diagnostic, primary, specialty and follow-up providers located near your home.
