GENERAL SURGERY RESIDENCY PROGRAM

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES - GENERAL SURGERY RESIDENCY

• Score of 80 or above on all parts of the USMLE – First Attempt

• Pass on Step II CS

• Graduation Date within 3 years

• US Clinical Experience is preferred

• FMG's must be ECFMG certified at the time of the interview, or shortly thereafter

• If applying for a Preliminary Surgery position, a position for the following year is desired (i.e.: Anesthesiology, Radiology, etc.)  Our program is non-pyramidal; therefore, there are no positions in the second year for those interested in General Surgery.

• In most cases, our institution sponsors J-1 visas only (Preliminary Residents - J-1 only, no exception)
