Graduate Medical Education

Guthrie has offered residency training to physicians since 1897 and has a long history of educating the next generation of doctors. Medical school graduates may apply for residency training in Family Medicine, General Surgery or Internal Medicine. Our residents work as team members with attending physicians in Guthrie's multispecialty group practice, learning the intricacies of both inpatient and outpatient care. Following residency training, Internal Medicine Graduates may apply for the Cardiovascular Fellowship Training at Guthrie/Robert Packer Hospital. The fellowship is a three-year program with two fellows in each program year.
