About Guthrie
In June 2001, Guthrie Clinic and Guthrie Healthcare System created a new,
non-profit organization that brought together the two health care institutions.
Called Guthrie Health, the jointly-formed organization provides strategic
direction and leadership for the entire Guthrie enterprise. The alignment of
Guthrie Healthcare System and Guthrie Clinic was shaped by a mutual desire to
improve the patient experience, provide better access to patient care services,
streamline duplicative processes, insure consistency in services and more
quickly respond to community needs. The formation of Guthrie Health allows both
organizations to bring together expertise from across the continuum of care to
address these issues. The new organization is overseen by a 14-member Board of
Directors.
