LEAP Testing ServiceINTRODUCTIONThe LEAP Testing Service is an independent testing laboratory within the Donald Guthrie Foundation for Education and Research in Sayre, Pa. The Testing Service, which is part of the Laboratory of Immunobiology, was established in 1993 following the development of the Leap Assay by Donald Beezhold, Ph.D., of the Donald Guthrie Foundation. Kostyal, Ph.D., research associate and manager of the LEAP Testing Service Bachelor of Science, biology, St. Joseph’s College, Philadelphia Master of Science, microbiology, University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind. Doctor of Philosophy, molecular biology, Wesleyan University, Middletown, Conn. Kostyal joined the Donald Guthrie Foundation in 1989 doing research on immune signaling through cytokines and became manager of the LEAP Testing Service in 1995.
Tom Shay, B.S., LEAP Testing Service research technician, Bachelor of Science Biology/Chemistry, Lock Haven University, Lock Haven PA. He joined the LEAP Testing Service in 2003. He has more than 16 years of research experience at the Donald Guthrie Foundation.
Kelly M. Horton, B.S., LEAP Testing Service research technician, Bachelor of Science Biology from Mansfield University. Kelly has 2 years of environmental testing experience and 7 years as an environmental laboratory director. Kelly has also worked for four years at Cornell University in the Parasitology and Food Sciences departments. Kelly has worked more than 7 years at the Donald Guthrie Foundation.
Cathy Lanning, B.S., Research technician, Bachelor of Science, Biology, Eastern Nazarene College, Quincy, MA. Cathy has more than 6 years of experience at the Donald Guthrie Foundation and over 10 years of experience in research at Cornell University. |
