The Guthrie Gala

The Guthrie Gala is an annual black-tie optional, fundraising dinner, dance and entertainment event. The Gala is the major fund-raiser for the Sayre House of Hope, a residence that provides family-centered lodging and support to patients and their loved ones during medical treatment. The Gala has been a tremendous success, raising more than $140,000 for the nonprofit Sayre House of Hope in the past four years.

Guthrie’s Resource Development Department organizes the Gala and provides support to a Planning Committee comprised of Guthrie staff and dedicated volunteers from the community, who bring the event to life. The committee also reaches out to the community in other ways, lining up sponsorships and donations of supplies and services.

Highlights of the evening include cocktails, amazing culinary creations presented in a station atmosphere throughout the event, beer tasting, Glenora exclusive wine tasting, followed by dessert, live music, and dancing. Over 225 guests attend each year, including community members, physicians, trustees, business leaders, Guthrie administrators and employees.
