Sayre House Ranks in 99th Percentile with Press GaneySayre House scored tremendously well on this year’s Press Ganey’s Nursing Home Satisfaction survey, falling into the 99th percentile in the nation. This newest result places them 4.3 points higher than their last record, which was the 95th percentile achieved during the previous survey period. This survey was for the period of time between April 2000 and June 2002, utilizing two years worth of submitted data. The survey was filled out by residents, and their family and friends, and rated many areas of care on a scale from one to five, with a score of five representing a "very good" rating. These areas of care were: admissions; resident rooms; dining; maintenance; nursing; housekeeping; activities; finances and final overall ratings. "What makes Sayre House unique is that all of the staff are committed to making a difference in the quality of our resident's lives every day," said Sayre House Administrator Denise Ives. "The residents and the staff are actually family. The Press Ganey results demonstrate our dedication to quality care in a homelike environment." The Sayre House survey results were compared against those of 142 other, long-term care facilities across the country. The survey summary says, "Sixty-five percent of responses were very good, the highest ranking on the scale," and "the benchmark standard question score was 80.6 percent." This means that Sayre House scored significantly higher that the average nursing facility that participated. Congratulations to all the staff at Sayre House for raising the bar a little higher! |
