PHILOSOPHY

Dr. Donald Guthrie's philosophy, that the group practice provide scientifically sound medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to the sick and injured, has guided the Guthrie Clinic staff over the eight decades of its existence. Those who succeeded him also possessed a vision of the future and have built a comprehensive medical center in Sayre. This has been achieved by attracting physicians who have the experience, education, and skills to fulfill this goal.

The continued growth of the medical staff is provided in the following ways:

• providing educational leave for meetings and conferences
• inviting recognized authorities to speak to staff and students
• providing medical update meetings and conferences at the medical center,
• maintaining efficient and immediate information services to the entire medical staff
• supporting research opportunities, because research is a part of the process of maintaining clinical proficiency

Guthrie Clinic physicians work in close cooperation with the entities of the Guthrie Healthcare System. All patients have access to these facilities and latest available equipment.
